Liana font is a simple sans-serif typeface with a soft, organic structure that closely resembles handwriting. Its fluid forms give Liana an intimate and informal tone. Additionally, Liana has an approximate 6.5-degree slant, which imparts a sense of movement and dynamism to the text.

Liana is designed in two styles: the main Sans style offers nine weights, while the Soft style features four weights. The Sans version is optimized for text-based applications, whereas the Soft version is designed for display purposes at larger sizes.

For the Latin portion of Liana, the open-source typeface Fira Sans Italic was used as a base, with some modifications (especially in the Soft version).

Liana is inspired by classic Persian typefaces such as Farnaz, Mehr, and the Third Nastaliq, and is designed to evoke their aesthetic.
