Noora was designed for digital world. This typeface was designed in such a way that it has good clarity against the arrangement of pixels, even at the lowest resolution. But at the same time, it is also used a lot in the print space and has a favorable result in writing text in print media.
The letter forms are simple. The exaggeration of the height of the middle part of the letters, which caused the teeth to stretch and the space inside the rings, as well as the relatively equal proportion of the straight and curved form in the body of the letters and different angles in the writing of the teeth, have made it young and dynamic. In the design of the forms, an effort was made to maintain adherence to the Persian script, so that the forms do not become geometrical, so that the identity of Persian writing can be seen in it, along with the modern tone.
Long teeth, large rings and overall balance in the gray of the writing keep Noora legible even in small size. This means that even in small sizes, the letters are easily distinguishable from each other. Therefore, this font can also be used in print media.
Noora has seven weights (Extralight, Light, Regular, Medium, Semibold, Bold, Extrabold). The base weight of this font is the practical project of the visual communication master's thesis at the University of Tehran and was designed under the supervision of Dr. Sedaghat Jabari.
