Colak is an ultra-heavy typeface in the Naskh style. The typeface is available in a single weight and is ideal for titles in formal and cultural contexts.

According to scientific definition, a Colak, known as "Blizzard" in English, forms when a high-pressure system meets a low-pressure system. It is called the pressure difference between two levels.

The initial idea of the design of the Colak typeface (combating the heavy positive space with the least negative space on the same level) was inspired by Amir Mesbahis' personal experience of a severe blizzard in February 2022.

The structure and base of the Colak typeface were adapted from another designed by Amir Mesbahi called the Damavand typeface. A double effort has been made to fulfill part of society's needs by developing an official heavy typeface style that differs from the Damavand version. Characters in Colak are sharper and have a more fluid and softer appearance than characters in Damavand. Throughout this experience, the designer tried to keep Damavand's spirit and avoid exaggeration. In addition, the negative space between the characters is limited, which allows users to design different graphics and typography projects with this typeface.

Colak typeface pays particular attention to Arabic and Kurdish. Latin letters have also been designed for the English language to better align and display Latin words.
