Pesteh font is a personal and creative interpretation with a modern look that carries the visual and tactile characteristics of the traditional Nastaliq script. Pesteh strives to bring to the public a combination of traditional beauty and innovation. When classic and traditional art is combined with modern design and uses various curves and thicknesses as well as combining corners with soft, flowing shapes, it gives a fresh effect.and dynamism in the letters, while conveying the impression of fluidity to the public.

Pesteh is the result of an idea that is attractive to designers looking for a font that combines traditional calligraphy and modern influences. Pesteh is youthful yet classic, slightly salty and charismatic, modest yet polite, and does not try to show off.

The idea of designing a functional font with the aim of using the rich and precious resources of Peso-Arabic calligraphy and looking at them from a new perspective began in 2015 with the design of the Ilia font. The Pesteh font is the second project in a collection of experimental fonts designed by Amir Mesbahi. His initial research began in the summer of 2019, However, the design process for this project was halted for two years as he left Iran for Belgium to continue his studies. Access to basic searches and initial sketches as well as archive of researched sources, Pesteh file reopened in spring 2024.
